Brandi Sullens, SAFE-CARE Program Specialist

Brandi Sullens joined Missouri Network Against Child Abuse in June 2025. As MO-NACA’s SAFE-CARE Program Specialist, Brandi provides oversight, development, and direction for programs that provide training to medical providers on the forensic evaluation and comprehensive medical care of children who may have suffered physical or sexual abuse. This includes coordinating the mentorship, support, and ongoing education for a network of providers that take an active role in providing these services to children in their communities; and empowering multidisciplinary team members to better recognize and respond to child abuse and neglect.

With a Bachelor of Science in Social Work/Sociology, Brandi has over 15 years of experience in social services, specializing in case management, crisis intervention, and cross-agency collaboration. Brandi most recently served as a Program Specialist for 10 years with the Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services, where she provided oversight for provider agency compliance, lead interagency coordination across 38 counties, and ensured high-quality care through individualized service planning and risk assessment.

Brandi is passionate about strengthening systems that support vulnerable populations and driving collaboration that leads to better outcomes, but what keeps her going is seeing real impact in people’s lives. Brandi lives in Taos, MO with her 3 children. They spend most of their free time on baseball fields in the summer, cheer and football in the fall, being avid Cardinals and Savannah Banana baseball fans, hiking and camping in state parks, playing pickleball and swimming.
